Join us for our bi-monthly swing dance in Portland Maine, Thursday Night Stomp!


Absolute beginners welcome, no partner needed.

Beginning Lesson 7:10-7:30pm (please arrive by 7pm)

Music and Dancing 7:30-9:30pm

$10 DJ Nights/$15 Band Nights at the door (cash or check only)

*New* "Beginner Jam"! An Introduction to Thursday Night Stomp

Wondering about Thursday Night Stomp but would rather try a dance night just for beginner dancers? Come to a 'Beginner Jam'! You'll see the space, meet new people, gain confidence, and get your questions answered from instructors in a relaxed atmosphere. Wear your sweatpants if you'd like!

7:10-7:30pm - Brief swing lesson for beginner dancers (all are welcome)

7:30-8:30pm - Music and dancing/practicing

Maine Ballroom Dance, 616 Congress Street (upstairs)

$5 suggested donation

Please note: All levels of dancers are welcome at "Beginner Jam", but the goal is to make our newer dancers feel welcome and comfortable. If you have more experience and would like to attend, please come and get to know some of our newer folks. Thank you!​

 

A note about parking: Portland parking can be tricky but here are a few tips around Maine Ballroom: there are almost always spots along High St (between Pleasant and York). You could also try spots along Spring St past the Holiday Inn.
