Upcoming Weekend Swing
Workshops and Practices

Join Portland Swing Project for a swing "crash course" and learn the fundamentals of swing dancing on a Sunday!
We'll teach you basic movements and footwork to get you out on the dance floor, and we'll show you how to connect with any dance partner. We rotate partners in class so you'll get a chance to dance with everyone, and we give plenty of practice time to music to build confidence.
Absolute beginners welcome, no partner needed.

Join Portland Swing Project for guided practice sessions on Saturday mornings for all levels of Lindy Hoppers.
Each practice will start with a 30-minute instructor-guided warm up focusing on skills all Lindy Hoppers need (think footwork, body awareness, rhythm, pulse, solo drills, etc.)
The next hour will be a guided practice session: you will choose what you'd like to work on, but instructors will give a framework for focusing on how to practice, how to give feedback, and how to make the most of your practice time. Since this is an all-levels practice session, we will work to build an atmosphere of community, bringing dancers of different levels together.
Prerequisite: You're currently in or have taken at least one Portland Swing Project or Lindy Maine class (or have prior Lindy Hop experience). If you have zero experience please consider attending a Thursday Night Dance or a Tuesday weekly class.
$10 pre-registration required
Instructors: Becca Pruente, Kento Ichikawa, and Ashlee Lombard (you will have two instructors at each practice)
When: Saturdays from 10:30am-Noon
